ABOUT
Elia Iliadi was born in Athens in 1975. She did a Foundation Course in London's Central Saint Martins in 1995 and graduated from Athens School of Fine Arts in 2005.
She was actively involved in teaching children and adults from 1999 until 2005.
From 2012 she is working on her multi sensory and long durational project, "Pandώra", which will be completed in 2024.
Her latest work explores the way we experience this world through our senses and therefore art itself.
By using diverse art media like sound, poetry, sculpture, video, performance but also other sensorial experiences, like taste and smell, she is aiming to create a multi dimensional experience that evolves in time.
Interaction with the public plays a major role in her work's dynamic, as she believes the relationships between viewer, creator and the work are fluid and interdependent.
